Auree founder named in top 100 inspiring female entrepreneurs list

Amelia Carmichael, founder of Auree Jewellery, has been named as one of the UK’s most inspirational female entrepreneurs by the f:entrepreneur ‘#ialso100’ campaign.

Carmichael, who founded Auree in 2014, has been profiled alongside 100 female entrepreneurs from across the country, as part of the campaign to celebrate the achievements of women running businesses in the UK today.

Auree began as a small start-up around a kitchen table in South West London and has quickly turned into a successful jewellery company employing a growing team of staff.

The f:entrepreneur campaign was launched in 2017 to raise greater awareness of the impact of female business owners in the UK , and help provide inspiration and
role models to the wider small business community.

Carmichael said: “It is such an honour to be recognised alongside this inspirational group of women. Juggling motherhood and Auree has been much harder than I thought it would be, but it’s been an exciting journey. I am so grateful to our loyal customer base who have supported us, every order really does mean so much to a small independent business.”

Michelle Ovens CBE, founder of the f:entrepreneur campaign, said: “It is so vital that we recognize and celebrate the phenomenal contribution that women running businesses are making across the UK, and the far-reaching, positive impact they are having, not just on the economy, but on wider communities too.

“The last few years have been hugely challenging for small businesses, yet despite this female entrepreneurship continues to grow and flourish in the UK, and is very much at the heart of the UK’s recovery.”
